Today I am having red cabbage for dinner! 🙂 And I thought, why not write about it.
Red cabbage for dinner!
For me red cabbage is a superfood! Its nutritional value is amazing and so good for our bodies.
I think you can find it anywhere on the world. In Europe it is known for existing in traditional culinary since the age of Romans and Greeks. Early sailors were taking cabbage to a long sea journeys to avoid scurvy.
Nowadays it is used in a lot of different ways. In salads, cooked, in edition to main courses. In 100 grams of raw red cabbage there is 2,1 g of dietary fibers, 1,4 g of protein and a numerous vitamins and minerals. Some of them are vitamin C 57,0 mg, vitamin K 38,2 mcg, folate 18,0 mcg, choline 17,1 mg, calcium 45,0 mg, magnesium 16,0 mg and potassium 243 mg.
I make my veggies to eat as simple as possible. So I had my raw red cabbage with some gnocchi with tomato sauce. I recommend to use more raw cabbage on a weekly basis to everybody, because it is so good for digestion, supports the immune system and contributes to general health.
