My Current Daily Supplements That I Use

Supplements that I use daily:

In my region we don’t have a diverse range of organic fresh fruit and vegetables. I can find only organic bananas and maybe two or three other fresh foods that are organic. So, there are two things that I do to assure that I have enough nutrients in my diet. The first one is: when it is spring/summer season, I get as much fruits and vegetables from my grandmas garden. She lives on the country side and has two big gardens. I get cherries, apples, plums, grapes, persimmons, kiwis, strawberries. Some vegetables: potatoes, onions, parsley, garlic, leak, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, different type of salads, paprika, kale. And this is a big thing in my diet, because I am trying to get enough dietary fiber in my body on daily basis. The main thing that I do in my diet, is to maintain my digestive system clean. I can’t stress enough how important this is. If you are to begin the “healthy food journey” this is the first thing you must do. The easiest and cheapest way is to eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables.

The second thing that I do to maintain a healthy diet is to have some daily supplements. I use mainly supplements from my favourite brands such as Pukka Herbs, Viridian Nutrition, Terra Nova. They are all organic and suitable for vegans.

The Favourite One-s

Currently I am using Pukka Herbs Vitamin C daily supplement. It is great for imune system, clear skin and increases level of energy. Also, vitamin C protects body cells against oxidative stress. You must take the supplement before eating for maximum absorption and two capsules for daily nutritional intake.

Viridian

Second brand that is on my list is Viridian Nutrition. They have a big range of natural supplements that are vegan. Also my local healthy food store has a lot of options. The other brands, not so much. I am not a big fan of online shopping. I would rather go with my bicycle to the store and pick it for myself. Now, I am using Vitamin B12 from Viridian. Because is hard to find any other organic and vegan B12 supplement around here.

Terra Nova

Terra Nova is one of my longest organic and vegan supplements that I am regularly using. But they have a small range. Before I started Pukka Vitamin C, I was using Terra Nova Multivitamin complex for children, because there were none for adults in the store. Well, if it is good for children, it si good for us. I just took one capsule more.

How I like to do with supplements its like this. I don’t like to use them a bunch at the same time. I use just two or maximum three products in the morning. Because I am mostly plant based, I am adding a B12 supplement to my diet. For the other supplement that I am taking a mix things up a little bit. For example, when I will finish my vitamin C, I will start with Zinc Complex. When I will finish zinc I will buy a Rhodiola Rosea for myself. What I want to accomplish is to give my body various nutrients during one year in addition to my plant based diet. For example, I don’t want that I have more than enough vitamin C in my body and lacking of twenty other nutrients. This has no sense. The body will not work like this, it is a complete whole and all the cells in te body must work. The body is weak when the weakest body cell is.

Pulsin Pea Protein

 

A few times a week I add to my banana smoothie also a protein powder. Currently I am using a Pulsin Pea Protein. Just to get those extra essential amino acids in my body. In general there are enough proteins in plant based diet, if you eat a lot of greens and legumes. But there are some more plan based proteins out there to use. Vega One Protein, Sun Warrior Protein, Form Nutrition and more. I use what I can get from my local food store, as long it is natural and vegan. I like this protein a lot because they taste good despite they are pea protein. Sometimes pea proteins doesn’t taste good, but this do.  

Once a week a put some Maca into the smoothie. Maca is so good for women hormone system and gives a lot of energy. The only downfall is that it’s not tasty at all.
