During this time of the year we are faced with a lot of temptations. A lot of work has to be done in a short amount of time, a lot of relatives are visiting us and we are visiting them. There are sweets, cookies, desserts everywhere. There are huge and delicious dinners. It is hard to keep up with a healthy lifestyle. But here is the “ugly truth”: if you really love yourself, you will keep on watching on your health!
But here is a happy thought, it can be done! 🙂 Here are my tips how to watch on your body and mind.
1. DON’T MEASURE YOUR WEIGHT
Please put away your scale. The kilos on your scale are not indicators of the health of your body and mind. Better then this is to look at yourself in the mirror. If you are happy what you are seing then it is OK. But if your not happy about certain thing about yourself, there is where the work begins.
2. STOP EATING ANIMAL PRODUCTS
Further more, animal products are bad for your body and mind. Educate yourself. You can find so many scientific research about this on your own. Pay attention what is going into your body. Your body and mind are buildt on the ingredients that you are eating.
3. GROW YOUR OWN FOOD
Hance, the possibility is to start growing your favorite fruits and veggies. That’s how you will know where is your food from.
4. EAT FRUITS AND VEGGIES
Eat as many fruits and veggies as you like. Start with ones that you like the most. Buy them fresh and those that are in season. Also, it is better to buy organic fruits and vegetables. Because they have a much bigger nutritional value.
5. DRINK ONLY WATER OR UNSWEETENED TEA
Wherever you are, drink water. If you are at home or out and about, on dinner with friends, visiting your family just drink the water. That is how you will reduce your intake of unnecessary processed sugars. But water is also very important for your digestion, clean intestines, clear skin and enhances fat-burning processes.
6. DO SPORTS
Favorite sport or exercise? Practise that exercise every other day for one hour or every day for half an hour. You don’t need to spend a lot of money for the gym or new equipment. Personally I put on a video of HIIT workout on Youtube.
7. PUT YOURSELF IN THE FIRST PLACE
Don’t forget that the most important human in your life is you! Remember that if you will not take responsability for your health nobody will. Trust yourself! Be confident! Believe that you can do it!
8. STOP USING OILS
Oils are empty calories. Our body is using primarily carbohydrates for functioning not oils. So why eat them?!..Fats have 9 kilocalories per gram and carbohydrates and proteins have 4 kilocalories per gram. Oils are the ones that are making us fat not carbohydrates.
9. GO WALKING ON SUNSHINE AND IN NATURE
Even if it is cold outside, put all your warm clothes on and go out. Go walking on sunshine, because UV rays produce vitamin D in our skin. Go for a walk in the forest, beside lakes or just in city parks. Relax, fell the connection to the nature. Nature and earths climate is giving us life.
10. BE GRATEFUL AND FORGIVE
Let go of all the negative feelings and thoughts, because this feelings demotivate you and attract more negative things into your life. Learn how to forgive. Be grateful for all the little things that you have already achieved!
